So I have been slacking a little bit here on the blog. So I decided to give it some needed attention.
I met Holly and Kelly at The Coffee Scene in Fayetteville one morning and we got to know each other a little bit. After a little bit of back and forth on deciding on a location to photograph their engagement photographs, Holly & Kelly decided on Yates Mill County Park in Raleigh.
So I do what I always do, I googled the crap out of the location because I have never been there before! I even did a recon of the area a few days before our shoot and I’m so glad I did. I found out when I got there that you have to have a photography permit for professional photography! So I immediately took care of that and all was good.
I just want to talk about these two and their connection for a minute.
I understand completely how awkward it can feel to stand in front of the camera to have your portrait taken. Now to makes matters worse I’m going to ask you to do things like kiss and show some affection to your partner. For some this is no problem at all, but others it takes time to warm up.
This session like many others started out slow, which was to be expected but after a few minutes there were no issues showing some affection with these two! As you’ll see in some of the portraits. :)
I’ll stop rambling now. Please enjoy some of my favorite photographs from the day.
